The Autism Education Network recently signed a three year contract with Convio, an application service provider (ASP) which specializes in Internet software solutions for nonprofit organizations. The Network procured a suite of on-line applications including a grassroots advocacy center which will be deployed the summer of 2004.

Members will receive customized Email alerts, take-action letters, and petitions using comprehensive legislative databases regarding federal and state special education law directly affecting the autism community. Members will simply click on the link, personalize the letter or submit as is, and click the "send" button.

The Autism Education Network intends to extend its Web-enabled grassroots advocacy center to other autism related organizations to leverage the power of the autism community. The ultimate goal is to unite constituents through a virtual forum to make autism a national health priority.
