Virginia Tech's White Ribbon Campaign

September 27-October 1, 2004: All men who want to take a stand against violence toward women are encouraged to wear a white ribbon during this week. Ribbons will be available at tables across campus. Also, all students, staff and faculty members are invited to participate in the "These hands are not for hurting" display outside of Dietrick Dining Hall!

Equalogy performs "One Night"

October 25, 2004: Equalogy performs an interactive drama that examines what happens to four close friends when they are affected by a sexual assault. The professional actors who perform this show use humor and encourage audience participation throughout by offering interviews with the characters at critical points to determine what really happened that night. All students, faculty and staff members are encouraged to attend this powerful show. Location TBA.

Discussion about sexual assault on Virginia Tech's campus

January 13, 2005: David Lisak, professor and author of the Undetected Rapist visits Virginia Tech's campus along with Debbie and Rob Smith, co-founders of H.E.A.R.T. Inc., to explore in-depth the issue of sexual assault on Virginia Tech's campus. More details to come in early fall.image
